Foregoing his stealthy reindeer-powered vehicle, Santa Claus rode into Arntutus on Nov. 18 in a motorcade of screaming fire trucks. A large crowd of children of all ages gathered outside to greet Santa's arrival.
For the first time in many years, the community decorated a live tree, which was illuminated by Santa before he took up residence in his Arbutus home adjacent to .
A moon bounce and life-size Candyland game were set up in the parking lot, along with a showing of Frosty the Snowman. Inside Town Hall were face painting and crafts, popcorn and other goodies--all provided free to the public.

During his stay at his Arbutus house, Santa will receive vistors on Fridays from 7:30-10 p.m., Saturdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Sundays from 2-4 p.m.

is sponsoring cookies and milk with Santa on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. The $4 admission includes two cookies and milk or juice, a viewing of The Polar Express, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
ACA is sponsoring breakfast with Santa at Town Hall on Dec, 10, from 8 a.m. to noon. The menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage links, hash browns, pancakes and waffles. Admission: $8 for adults and $4 for 10 and under.
