Maryland State Horseshoe Pitching Tournament



Baltimore Metro Horseshoe Club is
hosting the Maryland State Horseshoe Pitching Tournament on Saturday, August 31
from 8AM to 4:30PM. At Pottery Farm Park Courts - Back River Neck Rec 801 Back
River Neck Road, Essex, MD 21221. 



All are
welcome to come out and enjoy watching some of the best horseshoe pitchers in
Maryland, from Holywood to LaVale, as they compete for State and Class
Titles.

the Sanctioned Maryland Horseshoe Pitching Clubs, their up-coming league and
tournament play. Maybe next year you will be pitching to win!

Baltimore
Metro Horseshoe Club uses regulation clay courts for the majority of their
tournaments and league play.  



Horseshoe
Pitching is a Family Sport - Horseshoe pitching boasts of being one of the few
sports that has a national champion for men, women, boys and girls and can
still be played in one's backyard. It can be played by one or more and by the
young as well as the old.

Physical
Fitness - In this day of weight-watching, what better way to exercise than
walking, bending and reaching? These are integral parts of this great sport.
Game-related injuries are rare, and doctors have repeatedly stressed the
beneficial aspects of this sport.



Join the
Millions of Participants - It was recently estimated that upwards of fifteen
(15) million enthusiasts enjoy pitching horseshoes in the United States and
Canada, in tournaments, leagues, recreation areas and backyards.



Food and beverages will be available
to purchase. Only sanctioned, pre-registered pitchers may participate in the
tournament. Spectators are welcome.  Rain
date is Sunday, September 1.
