28th Annual Historic Ellicott City, Inc. Decorator Show House - Mount Ida

Or just looking for something fun to do 
with family and friends this fall in Ellicott City?

Then come to Historic Ellicott City, Inc.'s 28th Annual Decorator Show House -- historic Mount Ida, the lovely former Ellicott family mansion near the Howard County Circuit courthouse.  

Open from September 28th through October 27th from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, (closed Mondays – please note doors close one hour before the end time), this much anticipated fundraising event showcases one of Ellicott City’s most treasured landmarks as well as the work of more than 12 designers under the direction of  Design Chair Carroll Frey, a well known local interior and architectural design professional. During more than three months of intensive renovation, they and HEC, Inc. have transformed the home’s grand public rooms, intriguing private spaces and gardens with innovative design concepts that will surprise and delight fans of old houses and new decorating ideas alike.

Tickets for the Show House are $15 in advance and $20 at the door and are available for purchase at www.HECMD.org or by calling 410-461-6908.  They will also be available at the Antique Center at Historic Savage Mill, Clark’s Ace Hardware, Ellicott’s Country Store, River Hill Garden Center, Shoemaker Country, The Pink Cabbage, Westwood Unique Furnishings & Antiques, and Sidetracked in Westminster.  

No infants or children under age 10 will be admitted.  Please wear flat shoes only.  No indoor photography is permitted and visitors are requested to have their cell phones turned off while in the Show House, which is not handicapped accessible.
