Report: Fourth of July Jets Were in Afghanistan
There's a good reason why key fixtures were missing from this year's parade in Arbutus.
The four A-10 jets that usually signal the beginning of the were strangely absent this year – but officials have a good excuse, according to an ExploreBaltimoreCounty.com report.
Lt. Col. Charles Kohler of the Maryland Air National Guard told the publication that the jets had not yet returned from a 90-day deployment in Afghanistan.
