Poll: Who Will Sweep Super Tuesday?

Primaries will be held in 10 states.

Had enough of the Republican primaries yet?

To some observers, March 6, when primaries are held in 10 states—Alaska, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, North Dakota, Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, Oklahoma and Idaho—could be a decisive day in the Republican primary season. A total of 437 delegates are in those states. A candidate needs 1,144 delegates (out of 2,286) to be the nominee, according to the Washington Post.

The Washington Wire feature in the Wall Street Journal reported that as of Monday, support from fellow Republicans has been building for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who has secured endorsements from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Oklahoma’s Sen. Tom Coburn.

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is campaigning during the last hours before Super Tuesday on his “experience and grit,” according to the Los Angeles Times.

Santorum also told Ohio voters if he had as much money as Romney, he’d be well ahead, the Times reported.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul has said he expects to win Alaska, North Dakota and Idaho on Super Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Super PAC in favor of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich sent out an email this week saying that a vote for Gingrich was a “life or death” decision, as he was the only Republican that would be able to beat Obama, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
