One Injured in I-95 Crash Thursday

A three-vehicle crash early Thursday on I-95 in Halethorpe left one person injured and one truck overturned, its fuel spilling onto the highway.

Maryland State Police are not releasing the name of the injured person until family members have been notified, according to a news release Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred just before 4 a.m. on southbound I-95 near I-695, the release states.

The Peterbilt truck couldn't avoid the car and also struck it on the rear.
The "truck overturned, causing the vehicle's fuel to spill on the the roadway" and come to rest across three lanes of traffic, the release states.

The interstate was closed for about five hours, as the Baltimore County Fire Department worked to clean the fuel spill. State police continue to investigate the cause of the collision, and no charges have been filed.

Police will give their findings to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office, who will decide whether there will be charges.
