Maryland State Police continue to investigate the crash between a Toyota Corolla and two commercial trucks, according to a news release Friday afternoon.

After the crash that occurred at about 4 a.m., he was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma "where he later succumbed to his injuries," the release states.

Troopers continue investigating the crash that occurred on southbound I-95 just before the I-695 interchange.

The other two involved in the collision were driving commercial vehicles, and refused medical treatment, the release states.

So far, the investigation shows that "for unknown reasons, the Toyota was slowing or stopping in the travel portion of southbound I-95," the release states.
The tractor trailer driver tried to avoid the car, but struck it on the left rear, it states.

Tisdale couldn't avoid the car and also struck it on the rear, which caused the truck to overturn, landing across three lanes of traffic and spilling its fuel.

The interstate was closed for about five hours.
