Man Arrested for Throwing Woman from Vehicle

Dante Williams, 36, is charged with attempted murder and assault for pushing girlfriend from a speeding SUV on I-95.

The man and assault for shoving his girlfriend from a speeding vehicle while traveling on I-95 was arrested early Monday morning at a home in northeast Baltimore, according to Maryland State Police.

At around 6 p.m. on July 19, Dante A. Williams, 36, was traveling southbound on I-95 near I-195 with his 27-year-old girlfriend and his 14-month-old son, police said.

Williams and the woman had an argument. According to the victim, Williams punched her in the eye, threatened her with a knife, and pushed her out of the car when she opened the door and asked him to pull over and let her out.

The car was traveling at around 60 miles per hour at the time, according to a witness who saw the victim tumble to the pavement.

Williams was arrested at 6:30 a.m. without incident by members of the Maryland State Apprehension Team. Acting on a tip, police found Williams at a residence on the 1700 block of Winford Road in Baltimore.

Williams is charged with attempted first-degree murder, and first- and second-degree assault. Additional charges are pending, and the case is still under investigation, according to police.
