Lansdowne Improvement Association Meets Under New Leadership

Sept. 12 meeting was first with new board elected to two-year terms beginning July 1.

Lansdowne Improvement Association held its first meeting with new leadership Monday evening at the on First Avenue.

After breaking over the summer, LIA commenced meetings for the fall with leadership that began July 1.

The new LIA board of directors includes Brian Bailey, president; Gary Koloski, first vice president; Chris Koloski, second vice president and recording secretary; Dixie Yankoluv, treasurer; John Yankoluv, sergeant-at-arms; Alverta Dockins, corresponding secretary; Barbara Conti, member-at-large; Ernie Bailey, Betty Knox and Karl McGovern, trustees.

At the Sept. 12 meeting, LIA heard updates from Del. James Malone, Councilman Tom Quirk and Officer Wickless from Precinct 1/Wilkens.

Among the items of business discussed at the meeting include plans to close beneath Hammonds Ferry Road and CSX tracks, and a block party scheduled for Sept. 29.
