Visions for Vacancies: Greenway Shopping Center

What new eatery would you like to see in the building that formerly housed Jasper's?

The restaurant formerly know as Jasper's, located at 7041 Greenbelt Rd. in Greenbelt's Greenway Shopping Center, has been vacant for well over a year.

This large, freestanding building is only a few miles from multiple residential areas and has plenty of parking and access to major roadways.

What eatery would you like to see fill the void left by Jasper's? A family friendly restaurant or a more upscale dining option? What's your vision for this vacant building? Tell Patch in the comments!

As far as what I would like to see there, I'd love to see something like a nice Ethiopian or Vietnamese restaurant. Something that Greenbelt does not already have. JD

I seriously doubt either of those two cuisines would be successful in Greenway. Plus, it's too much of a financial flier for someone to put their life savings into such a place which has to have a very high square footage cost. Also, there's already a WaPo and Washingtonian "cheap eats" in both those cuisines in Hyattsville and Beltsville.

Royal Jade could move there since they are looking for a new place in Greenbelt. CB

I guess Royal Jade is the choice based on a sign on the building. Was hoping for something different.

Yes. Royal Jade has updated their voicemail message. They are moving to the old Jasper's location. Call their number for updates.
