Trash Pickup Schedule: Baltimore County Storm-Related Closings, Delays

FRIDAY

County schools closed:
Baltimore County Public Schools and offices will be closed on Friday. Essential employees are to report.

County offices on delay: Baltimore County government offices will open at 10:30 a.m. Friday with liberal leave in effect for nonessential employees.

Libraries opening late: The Baltimore County Public Library will open at noon on Friday. The Reisterstown branch is closed.

Trash pickup: Baltimore County trash collections will occur when and where conditions permit. Recycling for Friday has been canceled. If your trash has been set out for collection, and would have normally been collected on Thursday or Friday, please leave it out and collection will occur when conditions permit. If your recycling would have normally been collected Thursday or Friday, please retrieve it and set it out for the next scheduled recycling pickup (Feb. 20 or 21). All drop-off centers, including the Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh, will be open for regular operating hours on Feb. 14.

CCBC: All CCBC campuses and extension centers are closed. All day and evening classes are canceled.

Towson University: Towson University is closed on Friday. The women's basketball game will go on as scheduled.

Malls: The Towson Town Center is opening at 10 a.m. The Avenue at White Marsh is open, with a few small shops opening late.

THURSDAY

County schools closedBaltimore County Public Schools announced that schools and offices will be closed on Thursday. Essential employees are to report for duty.

County government closed: Baltimore County government offices are closed Thursday.

County libraries closed: All branches of the Baltimore County Public Library are closed Thursday.

Community college closed: CCBC is closed on Thursday.

City schools closed: Baltimore City Public Schools are closed. The district office will open on time.

Meeting rescheduled: The Perry Hall Improvement Association meeting scheduled for Thursday has been canceled. The next meeting is March 13 at the Perry Hall branch of the library.

WEDNESDAY

Evening classes canceled: Due to impending inclement weather, evening classes for all high schools in Baltimore County Public Schools will be canceled on Feb. 12.

You should not say "Baltimore schools closed" when you mean to say "Baltimore COUNTY schools." The city and the county are two separate jurisdictions.
