Dollar Tree is the latest discount chain to open a store in Arbutus, in the Arbutus Shopping Center on the 1000 block of Maiden Choice Lane.
Opening on Sunday, Aug. 5, the nearly 10,000 square-foot store features thousands of items for sale for a dollar or less.
Dollar Plus, another smaller discount store located four doors away in the same shopping center, has posted signs announcing the intention to close. The manager of Dollar Plus said that the store will likely close by the end of August.
