Jump Into Fall Event

An event held at Leadership Through Athletics

The end of summer is quickly approaching. New things are popping up around town and new events are starting to arrive. School will be starting next week, much to most children’s disappointment.

This upcoming weekend there will be an event held at the Leadership through Athletics facility to “Jump into Fall” with Councilman Tom Quirk. The event is Saturday, Aug. 28 from 3-6 pm. Leadership through Athletics is located at 2900 Hammonds Ferry Road.

The event will feature a dunking booth, moon bounce, basketball, batting cages, food, beverages and ice cream for all ages. Originally there was going to be a price for adults and families, but now thanks to many sponsors, the event is free for everyone.

Leadership through Athletics is a great facility that houses many different sporting areas inside. You need a full day inside to experience everything that they have to offer. Bring your family out for a day of fun, sports, free food and ice cream. With this heat you can’t beat a free cold treat.

Stay tuned for new happenings around Lansdowne. With the upcoming change of seasons, new things are happening everywhere. Have you seen the new flower pots along Hammonds Ferry Road?
