Why to go:  Livestock, crafts, produce, farm and garden exhibits, food, midway rides, Thoroughbred horse racing and entertainment.

Description:  Art and antique collectors from across the country and around the world will have the opportunity to view and purchase from the diverse collections of hundreds of international dealers drawn from the United States, Canada, France, Italy, England, China and Japan. Guests will view aisle after aisle of fine art, furniture, Asian art, American and European silver, jewelry, porcelain, glass, textiles, American folk art and more, ranging from the antiquities to the 20th century. Some 575 exhibitors are set to participate.

Where:  Baltimore Museum of Industry, 1415 Key Highway, Baltimore, MD, 21230

When:  Tuesday - Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., closed Monday.  Exhibit ends January 27th.

Why to go:   Learn about the Ouija Board's Baltimore roots. Exhibit includes plenty of boards and memorabilia.

Pricing: $6-$10; Kids younger than 6, museum members: free

Where:  Mid-Pike Plaza, 1685 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD, 20852

When:   August 23rd ("All The President's Men"), August 24th ("Midnight in Paris"), August 25th ("We Bought a Zoo") 5:30 p.m., movie to begin at dusk.

Why to go:  Enjoy live music by up-and-coming bands in the Washington D.C. area along with gourmet food and wine sales. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and are followed by a free film at dusk.

Where:  Little Italy, High Street and Stiles Street, Baltimore, MD, 21202

When: Friday, August 24, 2012.  Live music starts: 7:00 p.m., movie starts 9:00 p.m.

Why to go:  Grab a bottle of wine, some treats from Vaccaro's and check out an Italian-themed movie among friends.

When: Friday, August 24, 2012, 8:00 p.m.

Why to go:  Enjoy an evening of great music and dancing, no partner necessary. Ages 16 and up are welcome.

Pricing:  $10-$12.

Where:  Verizon Center, 601 F St. N.W. , Washington , DC , 20004

When:  Sunday, August 26, 2012, 7:00 p.m.

Why to go:  R&B superstars Mary J. Blige and D'Angelo bring their Liberation Tour to Washington. Also on the bill: Melanie Fiona.
