Benefit at Kibby's to Support St. Agnes Cancer Fund

When I first met Mrs. Pat Manoto, I could tell she was a very passionate woman in all things she did.  Then I found out that she has a benefit each year (started last year) for Breast Cancer in honor of her mother, Mary Burke Darcey, and many other women who have fought the brave fight against breast cancer. The benefit helps St. Agnes' foundation against breast cancer and oncology. 

This year the benefit will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Kibby’s Resturant from 2-5 p.m.  The ticket price/donation is $15 per person.  Shaun, at Kibby’s restaurant, is a huge supporter of this benefit and closes a portion of the restaurant down to accomodate the event.  There will be a food buffet, cash bar, door prizes and a raffle.  Music will also be provided by a DJ. 

Raffle tickets are $5 for one or 3 for $10. First prize on the raffle is $500. Second prize is sports memorabilia. Third prize is a night at the Tremont Hotel.  Fourth prize is a basket of cheer.  The fifth prize is a breast cancer basket.  The drawing will be held the day of the benefit. 

Most people know at least one person in their lives that has had breast cancer or had a scare with it.  Manoto is very active in bringing awareness of this cancer to everyone, especially individuals who have had it in their families.  She has never had it, but has gone through a scare.

All proceeds benefit St. Agnes breast cancer and oncology fund.  There are many great woman working for this cause, and hope to have an even better turn out than last year. This is to help benefit a community hospital and help bring more education to people in this area. The work Manoto and the other woman do is wonderful and they really want it to be successful.
