Arbutus' First FroYo Shop 'Looking Good,' Owner Says

Located in the Arbutus Plaza Shopping Center, Cravingz opened on July 31 and offers a variety of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings.

Cravingz, Arbutus' first premium frozen yogurt shop that opened a few weeks ago on July 31, is "looking good," owner Hiral Patel said.

Located at 1407-C Sulpher Spring Rd. in the Arbutus Plaza Shopping Center, the shop is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Patel, who also owns several Subway stores in the area, including the store next to Cravingz, said he saw that the shop that previously housed a bakery had a vacancy, so he decided to open the town's first frozen yogurt shop.

"People are liking it. So far everything is looking good," the Ellicott city resident said.

The shop offers 12 flavors of frozen yogurt and about 15 toppings on average, Patel said. More toppings will be added soon.

Having spent $200,000 in renovations, the shop still has work that needs to be done, he said.

Cashier Donald Nicholson said he enjoys giving people delicious yogurt.

Bel Air resident and customer Sean Bannon said he enjoys the variety of toppings.

"Not bad at all," Bannon, who visited the shop for the first time on Thursday afternoon, said. "[There's a] wide assortment of goodies you can put on top of here."

Cravingz does not have a phone number yet, but Patel said it does have a Facebook page.

Customers can also use the coupon above (see photos) for $1 off.
