12 Sledding Hills To Conquer On Your Next Snow Day

Adrian Hood wanted to know where the best sledding hills were in Odenton-Severn so he posted his question to the boards on Patch. He knew of two: GORC Park and Laurel Hospital.

George Rets recommended a third, Glendale Golf Course.

But what about outside of the Odenton-Severn Patch? We turned to Facebook to find the best sledding hills in Maryland Patches.

On Annapolis Patch’s Facebook page, Jennifer Lenox Shearer said there were “several different great sledding hills” at Quiet Waters Park.

On Columbia Patch’s Facebook page, Tara Sheridan Guardado said, “the hill behind Bonnie Branch Middle School in Elkridge is a great one.”

Pete Monaghan recommended an “awesome” hill at a school on Piney Branch Drive in Takoma Park. And, he added, “the side hills at Cherokee Lane Elementary [in Adelphi] are not for the faint of heart.”

On Towson Patch’s Facebook page, Apple Dalisay Tuazon recommended the “Baltimore County Board of Education along N. Charles Street” as a great place to go sledding in Towson.

Matthew Comstock recommended “County Home Park in Cockeysville,” on Perry Hall Patch’s Facebook page.

On Bel Air Patch’s Facebook page, John Sims shared that he went sledding at the Maryland Golf and Country Club when he was a kid.

Andrea Lynch Pyon recommended the hill opposite the parking lot at Annie’s Playground. “My husband takes our children there every time it snows. There are a lot of people who sled there.”

For Rodger Rudolph, though, the best place to sled in Maryland is at Wisp.  The “moving sidewalk [is] the way to go to the top.”
