GBMC’s Spring Nearly New Sale Returns

The Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) Volunteer Auxiliary Nearly New Sale Spring 2014, a successful fund-raising event, returns on Sat., May 3 at the Nearly New Sales Building located on the GBMC campus.

The semi-annual FREE event (spring and fall sales) – which in recent years has raised approximately $250,000 annually for patient care at the hospital -- offers GBMC employees, volunteers, and the general public an opportunity to purchase gently used treasures, trinkets, and necessities from furniture, clothing, jewelry and silver to appliances, sporting goods, toys and games, and much more -- at nominal prices.  Previously, funds have been used on initiatives for Gilchrist Kids and The GBMC Stroke and Neurology Center.

The event starts on Sat., May 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continues on Sun., May 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Mon., May 5 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Wed., May 7 (1/2 price day) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Thur., May 8 (2nd ½ price day) 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  On Sat., May 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., customers can fill a brown paper grocery bag with merchandise for $5.00.
