Now, 1955 was quite a year. The Warsaw Pact was formed, and the board game Scrabble was introduced. Disneyland just opened up in Anaheim, Calif. Rosa Parks refused to move to the back of the bus. The President was Ike, and he was liked. Dean Martin's "Memories Are Made of This" was a big hit, and this Arbutus-area building was dedicated.
Where is it?

Off the subject a bit...it looks like some idiot graffitied it not so long ago. I'll guess Maiden Choice Elementary School.

Mike Kestle did indeed have it correct on Facebook. It's the old C&P Telephone building on Leeds Avenue. Tracey Reitterer was also correct, and also posted the answer to Arbutus Patch, so they both win water bottles. Tracey, email your mailing address to bruce.goldfarb@patch.com and I'll send it off.
