Three Juveniles Charged in Arbutus Burglary

Three city youths apprehended May 18 on the 1100 block of Linden Ave.

Three city teenagers face charges after being arrested May 18 by police officers responding to a report of a burglary on the 1100 block of Linden Ave. in Arbutus.

According to police, at around noon a Linden Avenue resident observed three juveniles in the fenced yard of a neighbor. The resident scared off the youths before they took anything, and called the police. Officers who responded found the three in an alley nearby.

As the suspects were taken into custody, a grey bicycle in the possession of one of them had been taken from the fenced yard of another house on the same block of Linden.

The juveniles, two 17-year-old males and a 16-year-old male--all of whom live on Ramsey Street in southwest Baltimore--each face two charges of fourth-degree burglary.

First of all, I'm so glad that no personal, injury happened. I grew-up in Baltimore City and as a result, I'm very, familiar with areas like- Ramsey Street. My family was able to move to Montgomery County.I realize that there are some good, people in the city, but I truly feel sorry for the people who are trapped due to their economical-status.In closing, I would like to know where the juveniles' parents were, and if at all possible, maybe a little, information about them as well.

We don't know the names of the suspects. The Baltimore County police do not release the names of minors who are charged with crimes.

I feel sorry for the people who live within 10 miles of Ramsey Street and all the other Baltimore city streets in West Baltimore. The thieves in these neighborhoods have stripped barren anything of value within them and therefore turned to prowling the outskirts for their prey. Josee, you would like to know where the parents of the juveniles are? My guess is that the juveniles don't know who either of their parents are, let along both of them, and so they themselves couldn't tell you where they are. I use the word "parents" loosely in reference to the two people that simply combined DNA to make these three kids. More than likely their dads are in jail, moms are on drugs, grandmothers are attempting to raise them and their six half brothers and sisters, but with little success.

In some Asian countries cutting off thief's right hand is still commonly practiced. Its only fair and would make someone else think twice before doing it! problem with the world today is crimanals have too many rights.

Thanks to the neighbor who called 911! An officer told me a couple of months ago when we had trouble in the Maiden Choice area, if you see groups of kids, strangers you don't know call 911. Since we started this, we have had a very quiet life in then the hoodette. We are lucky to live off of Wilkens Ave. It seems the City hoods seem to stop at Seven Eleven on Frederick Rd,a soda and munchies, and head out to Catonsville--lots of stores and houses to rob.

These kids have to be the worlds stupidest criminals. We were the ones to call 911. I'm not gonna have this stuff in my neighborhood! They need to stay on their side of town!

Hi Maglina, you performed a great service for your neighborhood! Alot of people see things and don't want to call or get involved. To keep your neighborhood safe ALWAYS call 911, you don't have to give your name--they understand. I call the police all the time and they have made such a big difference. The more heat you put on these criminals and bored teenagers the safer your neighborhood will be. Great job!!!

Good move maglina. You obviously followed your instincts of what looks suspicious and you were dead-on correct. People, listen to your instincts in these same situations. Don't let fear of being labeled a nosy body or profiler keep you from making the 911 call. If the kids you are calling the police on turn out not being criminals the kids will get over their hurt feelings very quickly. If they are criminals they will go elsewhere.

Why don't these city kids stay in their own neighborhood, no buisness being in the county trying to trash up the decent parts of Baltimore. Stay down westside. Where are these kids parents.

Chillin.. don't feel sorry for me.. I've lived one block off ramsay street ny whole life. I do pretty well for myself. My dad lives in arbutus, other family, I used to work in arbutus.... Point is, not everyone is like that and all of you guys sound really ignorant. I'm not trapped there, I'd just rather live there because its a misunderstood area. Besides, I'd rather be around the real thugs then the fake ones that live in arbutus.. just saying. Hope you all have a good day.

First of all, I agree that you're entitled to your own, opinion, but how can you imply that anyone is ignorant. When you obviously have a problem with grammar-spelling& proper nouns, just for starters!

Where are their parents? Good question. Any of the following answers will probably be correct. In prison, shot dead in a drug deal, hanging on a stoop waiting for Jr. to arrive with the stolen bike, shining their tire rims, snorting a line of coke, in a line-up, drunk on the living room floor, at their girlfriend's or boyfriend's Section 8 pad making more delinquent babies. If they are one of the more involved types, they may have been down in the school principal's office screaming that their little angel would never have beaten up the school teacher without being provoked first.

Made a mistake there yourself josee, I'm pretty sure I'd get a better grade than you in an English class... But thus isn't a class setting, nor am i this for school purposes, so thank you for your ignorance as well.... Or possibly working 13 hour days so their kids don't have to do without like my mom did. Not everyone where I live is a bad person.... And I'd guarantee if they we were near you, you wouldn't say any of those things. Now I'm keeping my emotion in for the sake of Mr.goldfarb because i obviously care enough about arbutus to like read the patch... But people like you, chillin, are the type of ignorant people who say off the wall things that provoke people where I'm from to act like they do. And chillin I just want to assure you that you are no better a person than me.because of where i am from. Being where I'm from made me who I am today. Now, before you want to judge people go educate yourself and stop being hypocritical.
