State Approves Nearly $11M in Additional School Construction Money
Funds will pay for Hampton Elementary addition, renovation of Milford Mill and Parkville High Schools.
State officials approved nearly $11 million in additional school construction and renovation funds for Baltimore County.
The Board of Public Works voted to send more than $10.7 million to the county in additional money for school projects, including:
- More than $5.4 million for a 300 seat addition at Hampton Elementary, bringing the state's share to $6.4 million for a project expected to cost $19 million.
- $2.6 million for renovations at Parkville High School.
- $2.6 million for renovations at Milford Mill High School.
The additional money, part of $77 million approved Wednesday for projects across the state, brings the county's take of state school construction and renovation money to $32 million for the fiscal year that begins on July 1—a $3 million increase over the state's allocation for the current year.
