Riverview Man Charged in Battery Theft

Police said that Aaron Mitchell Ornstein, 49, was allegedly caught stealing 11 truck batteries from Penske Truck Rental.

 

 

A Riverview man faces charges after allegedly cutting through a fence to steal truck batteries, authorities said.

At around 12:42 a.m. June 16, a police officer reportedly discovered a theft in progress at Penske Truck Rental on the 3200 block of Hollins Ferry Road.

According to police, Aaron Mitchell Ornstein, 49, of the 1000 Fredonia Court, allegedly cut through the fence around the property and removed 11  batteries from trucks parked on the premises.

Ornstein was taken into custody and has been charged with fourth-degree burglary and grand theft. The batteries were recovered and returned to Penske.
