Police Blotter: Armed Robbery and Burglaries

Man Robbed at Knifepoint on Way to Mars
A man on his way to buy cat food at the Mars supermarket on Maiden Choice Lane was robbed at knifepoint at around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. According to police, he was walking in the rear of the 4100-block of Alan Drive when he saw some friends sitting on steps smoking marijuana.
The victim was about to partake of marijuana when he was punched in the face from behind and grabbed into a choke hold, according to county police. The suspect said, "give me your money or your life," took $350 from the victim and fled on foot southbound on St. Charles Avenue.
The suspect was described as a male black abot 5'9", 160-180 pounds, with short black hair, wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt and black shorts.
Vandals Hit Lansdowne Lights
On the night of Sept. 18-19, unknown persons shattered four streetlight globes on Hammonds Ferry Road in Lansdowne. According to police, the globes were broken with a BB gun or rocks. The light fixtures, located on the streetscaped section of Lansdowne, belong to BGE, police said. Police have no suspects linked to the incident.
Baltimore Highlands Home Robbed During Invasion
A home in Baltimore Highlands was robbed shortly after midnight on Sept. 28 by two armed men who forced open the rear door of a residence on the 4000-block of McDowell Lane.
Two women who were home at the time report that two black males forced their way into the home and held them at gunpoint while they ransacked the residence. The unknown men stole an iPad, iPhone, video game system, special police credentials, cash, a cellular phone and a dog before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to police.
Burglaries in the Area
Sept. 28: At some time between 11 p.m. and 3:50 a.m., an unknown person lower the top sash of a front window of a residence on the unit block of Third Avenue in Lansdowne and stole a wallet containing cash and cresit cards.
Sept. 29: At some time since 5 p.m. on Sept. 28, an unknown person entered an unlocked shed behind a residence o he 3100-block of Freeway in Riverview and took a dirt bike.
Sept. 29: At some time since 5 p.m. on Sept. 28, an unknown person gained entry to a shed behind a residence on the 3000-block of Florida Avenue in Baltimore Highlands and took a tractor, mower, week trimmer, scooter, snow blower and other tools.
Sept. 30: At some point since 9 a.m. on Sept. 29, an unknown person broke the screen door and gained entry to a residence on the 700-block of Fifth Avenue in Lansdowne and took two televisions and a video game system before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Sept. 30: At some point since 11 a.m. on Sept. 27, an unknown person attempted to break into a residence on the 200-block of Fifth Avenue in Lansdowne by prying a basement door. The door was broken in half, but the homeowner found nothing stolen.
