Baltimore Man Charged with CVS Burglary

As superstorm Sandy bore down on the region during the early hours of Oct. 29, Lorne Edan Stockton decided to pick up a few things at the CVS Pharmacy on the 3900 block of Hollins Ferry Rd. in Lansdowne.

A couple of problems: CVS was closed at the time, and according to a police report, Stockton entered the store by smashing out the drive-thru window.

At around 12:41 a.m., the 30-year-old Stockton destroyed the drive-thru window of the store by undisclosed means, then entered the pharmacy and began placing drugs in a trash can, according to the police report.

Stockton was interrupted by a patrol car arriving at the scene, and attempted to flee on foot but was caught shortly afterward, the report said.

Stockton, who lives in the unit block of Stonecroft Road in Baltimore City, was charged with second-degree burglary.
