Baltimore County Schools Closed Wednesday

Here are Baltimore metropolitan closures caused by Tuesday's overnight snow.

Baltimore County Public Schools and the system's offices will be closed Wednesday; essential personnel must report.

According to forecasts, some parts of the Baltimore area could see as much as 10 inches in the snow that began early Wednesday morning.

Baltimore Gas and Electric officials are expecting hundreds of thousands of outages. Outages can be reported on the utility's website or by calling 877-778-2222.

Schools are also closed in Harford, Carroll and Howard counties as of 5:22 a.m.

Baltimore County will be posting snow removal updates and other information on its @BACOEmergency Twitter feed. City officials will be doing the same on the Office of Emergency Management Twitter account.

Keep tabs on the roads using our commute page.

This post will be updated as more information on closures and delays come in. Please let us know in the comments about other closures you've heard about.

Home Depot appreciated all the sales. Went into the store to buy some items today and ...like always no bread or toilet paper.Didn't need them but somebody must have.People in the snow belt laugh at us.

LOL! I moved to Minnesota from Perry Hall in 1996. We had 9" of snow the other day and schools didn't even go in late.
